Our Favorite Summer Cocktails & Cover-ups July 17, 2015 14:30

Hello loves!

Summer has us thinking of pools, vacations, beaches, and overall relaxation. What better to take in our beach and pool bags than a tasty cocktail? (We recommend a plastic container to abide by beach and poolside rules, of course.) Everyone has different taste, but we think these concoctions are to die for. We love these refreshing drinks for the pool, lake, beach, a day with the girls or in a book. Lemonade, watermelon, cucumber and mint are essentials for the summer, so why not mix them up into a drink? All of these options are just as tasty without alcohol too!

First up is this refreshing lemonade, brought to us by Absolut Citron Vodka. A local Fayetteville restaurant is famous for this refreshing summer cocktail, so we couldn't resist sharing!

1 oz Absolut Citron Vodka
1 oz Amaretto Almond Liqueur
2 oz Sweet and Sour Mix
(Shake with ice)
Splash sprite to fill
Garnish with a lemon peel or wedge and enjoy!

Another summer favorite is this watermelon concoction, brought to us by Pinterest.

3 cups chilled, puréed watermelon
1 cup coconut water
A squeeze of fresh lime
A sprig of mint
Garnish with a watermelon wedge and relax!

Last but not least is this yummy twist on a mojito, brought to us by the Fayetteville Country Club. This is our very favorite cucumber mint margarita.

1 1/4 oz tequila
3/4 oz triple sec
Tear mint leaves
Split cucumber slices
Fill with margarita mint
(Shake with Ice)
Splash with sprite to fill and enjoy!

Now that we have our favorite cocktail, let's talk swimsuit cover-ups!

We love versatile pieces, so we are all about anything we can wear to the pool with a swimsuit underneath and from the pool, headed to dinner. This saves us from packing a whole new outfit and saves us just a little extra laundry, which we love.

Maxis, rompers and dresses are our obvious pool favorites. They're stylish and comfy, as well as easily transitioned from the pool to an early dinner or girls night.

For summer, we love bold prints and this romper tops the list! It's flowy, while still emphasizing and flattering your girly figure. You can easily go jewelry-less for the pool with this romper's fun print! The tie in the back makes it easy to put on a take off for an easy transition to and from the pool or beach (and just in general.)
