fruit salad for 4th of July

Happy Friday, babes! Today on our blog we wanted to share our favorite fruit salad for the summer! This refreshing, caprese-style, fruit salad is the perfect summer treat! This light and tasty recipe would be great to make on a vacay, to take for a snack by the pool or to serve with dinner out on the patio! Not to mention, it would be the perfect festive side dish for the Fourth of July! Best of all, this recipe takes little to no time to make and is a fresh, healthier side options that you’ll want to recreate again and again.

This recipe is adapted from Two Peas and Their Pod

Ingredients

Raspberries

Blueberries

Strawberries

Blackberries

¼ cup Mozzarella (we used the pearls, which were perfectly bite-sized!)

Fresh Basil

1 Tbs Balsamic Glaze to taste

1 Tbs Coconut Sugar

Directions

Rinse all of the produce. Slice the strawberries. Place blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries into a medium sized bowl. Gently toss the berries together using a spoon, being careful not to crush. Add in the mozzarella and gently toss combining the fruit and cheese. After these ingredients are combined, roughly chop the basil into strips and garnish the fruit with it. Drizzle the Balsamic Glaze on top. Finish this delicious recipe off with a sprinkle of coconut sugar! Serve and enjoy!
