Choose a Color Palette

The first thing to do when getting your table ready is to choose a color palette. We chose soft neutrals as a base and sprinkled in fall hues of olives, golds and plums. We placed long roman candles in gold candlestick holders. As a base, we went for brown wicker chargers and white plates. We accented this winning combo with gold flatware! To really bring in the color weplaced a grey napkin on each of the plates. For an elegant touch a sprig of rosemary was tied around each one using twine.  To add even more pops of color, we added greenery across the middle of the table and plum-colored goblets. We finished our table off with small white pumpkins by each plate, which added the ultimate Fall touch!

Make it Personable

Be the hostess with the most-est and create name cards for your guests! We made our table feel special and personable by tying simple tags to the white pumpkins we placed on the table. We had our amazing graphic designer hand-letter each tag with names and then tied the tags around the stems of the pumpkins using string! This made for such a cute detail to our table! Plus, creating name tags are a fun way to cut down on any confusion of where anyone needs to sit!

Wine & Cheese Please

While you’re putting the finishing touches on your Thanksgiving meal, we suggest serving your guests wine and cheese for a little fun while they wait! After all, what’s a party without wine?! We put together a charcuterie board for this. Ours had different types of cheeses, olives, grapes, nuts, and meats. But, you can add your favorites to yours. This is the perfect light, ultra-customizable snack to have before a big meal.

Pause and be grateful

Another way we made our Thanksgiving table extra special was by placing cards on each napkin that said “I’m Thankful  for ______.” We got a stamp, found at our nearest local craft store, and stamped each card. So easy! Simply ask each of your guests to write down what they are thankful for on the card. Then at the end of your meal, you can go around and say what you are thankful for this year. It’s such a fun way for you and your guests to interact and reflect on this holiday! Also, kids and adults are guaranteed to love this extra special touch.
