With Valentine's Day right around the corner, we've can't stop thinking about sugary treats! We thought we would share one of our favorite dessert recipes - cake pops! Not only are cake pops delicious and easy to make, but they are fun and easy to make with your Valentine!

To begin, you'll need a few simple ingredients:
1 box of your favorite cake mix
Wax Paper or Foil
Candy coating (we recommend chocolate or vanilla almond bark!)
Premade Frosting
Pink and Red sprinkles

Step 1:
Bake the cake according to the directions on the box. Most of these cake mixes require an egg and some vegetable oil! Once the cake is finished baking, let it cool for an hour.
Step 2: 
After the cake has cooled crush it up into a large mixing bowl. Be sure not to leave any large pieces.
Step 3:
Mix frosting into the cake mix. If you are using premade frosting, add ¾ of the can to the cake. 
After you've mixed in the frosting, your cake should have a thicker, but slightly moist consistency.
Step 4:
Roll the cake into golf ball sized balls and place them on a sheet of wax paper or foil on a baking sheet. Then place the cake balls in the refrigerator for several hours or in the freezer for 30 minutes.


Step 5:
Melt your candy coating on the stovetop in a sauce pan and cover the chilled cake pops. Add sprinkles as you like.
Step 6:
Place the cake pops back in the fridge or freezer until the coating has hardened.
